Camps and Expeditions

We work with youth serving agencies and communities who have a therapeutic goal for a group of youth.  Once an agency or community has contacted us, we custom design a program to suit the age, group size and therapeutic goal of the group.

Camps

We specialize in day and overnight camps for youth serving agencies, remote communities, and groups with specialized behavioural or medical needs. Camps provide a great place to learn to live and work as part of a community.

We design custom  day camps and overnight experiences to provide special populations and groups the opportunity to get out of their everyday and meet their group learning goals. Designed with the highest level of physical and emotional safety in mind, activities may include: paddling, biking, climbing, ropes courses, swimming, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, initiative tasks and nature programs. As participants develop technical skills, they also develop the communication and inter-personal skills necessary to overcome challenges within a group. They are then encouraged to transfer their new knowledge to their friends, families, schools and communities.

Expeditions

Like our camps we specialize in expeditions for youth serving agencies, remote communities, and groups with specialized behavioral or medical needs. Expeditions can take place in one of the many wilderness areas of Manitoba.

Expeditions are a great way to redefine pre-existing rolls within a group. This approach to outdoor programming focuses on changing specific behaviours in order to address an identified problem. Using shared experiences, challenges are overcome and feelings of success are transferred to everyday life. Activities may include: hiking, paddling, cross-country skiing, camping

To register your group for a camp or expedition please contact us. The cost is dependent on how many days the camp or expedition will be, the size of your group and the activities you choose.
