Momenta’s instructors are incredible. As a student, I was fully engaged in the course material and walked away feeling super confident and excited to apply the skills I had learned in the field. Ten out of ten!

-Caleigh Christie, Research Assistant – Churchill Northern Studies Centre

Momenta’s programs go beyond the conventional approaches, fostering a holistic development of skills crucial for professional success. Momenta has led our school team through ongoing collaborative discussions and hands-on activities to revise and establish our school’s core values. With guidance and training from Momenta, the actualization and implementation of the core values have made a significant positive impact on the school culture and the success of the school community.

Julie Karatchuk – Principal

I have participated in two wilderness first aid training courses with Momenta. Both courses were delivered with a perfect combination of leadership, patience, clarity, real-world examples, practical experience, good humour, and sincerity.

The last of the 7 Relationships posts with photos from Spring 2026; Relationship with Risk. Great speeds, great heights, tools, water, fire, wind, rain, snow, impact. Taking risks is important, being safe is also important. This relationship helps all of us to assess risk by noticing the benefits of risk taking, the skill of co-creating control measures to mitigate risk and to support educators in their risk tolerance and ability to dynamically assess risk.Learning Outside with the 7 Relationships came to be in 2020 by Adrian Alphonso and Lise Brown it offers an approach to play and learning for educators to honour both the Forest and Nature School approach developed in European countries and a Canadian worldview that honours the relationship with land that Indigenous Peoples have had since time immemorial. As part of this model, Adrian and Lise also considered the oppression in school systems and unethical outdoor education practices that they experienced first-hand in their lives. Adrian and Lise believe in the play, learning and healing that happens outside, it feels urgent for children, for humans, for Mother Earth to spend time in the natural world, because growth is everywhere when we spend time outside. 📍manitowapow#RelationshipWithRisk
