
LLise Brown, Facilitator, and Owner, BRS, RSW, MSW, began her career at camps in Manitoba as an outdoor educator and guide. Lise completed a Bachelor of Recreation in 2001, a Master of Social Work in 2007 at the University of Manitoba, a Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy in 2012, and the Forest School Practitioner training in 2015. Lise combines these practice areas to provide clinical direction, facilitate groups, and counsel individuals in urban and wilderness environments with a focus on physical and emotional safety, successful participation, fun, meaningful activity, and group cohesion. Lise is on the Forest School of Canada Facilitator team with the Child and Nature Alliance of Canada.
SSara Harrison, Facilitator, and Owner, BA, ACP, EMT, has been sharing experiences with clients in remote areas since 1998. She has an undergraduate degree in Criminology, completed the Canadian Outdoor Leadership Training Program, is a graduate of the Applied Counselling Program, and is a provincially licensed EMT. Sara instructs Paddle Canada canoe and kayak courses as well as Sirius Wilderness Medicine courses. She specializes in leadership development, risk management, and designing and implementing therapeutic adventure, outdoor education, and recreation programs across Manitoba.
OOliver Hill, Director of Programs, has a Bachelor of Arts in Adventure Education (2014) and is a certified Paddle Canada Instructor (2022). Oliver has worked in various environments providing instruction and outdoor education to young people since 2010. He is a new guest on Treaty 1 as of 2018 and has enjoyed getting to know the land and its seasons through journeys by bike, on foot, or the water. Oliver is passionate about connecting all people with the growth, joys and discoveries from outdoor experiences.
AAdrian Alphonso is a Band and Community Member of Waywayseecappo First Nation. He is passionate about Indigenous perspective cycling programs and leads on Treaty One Territory land to honour truth and reconciliation. At Momenta, Adrian delivers inclusive, accessible outdoor programs to inspire a connection to the land. He has devoted his life to a journey of discovery.
SSuzanne Stobbe, Facilitator and counsellor, BSW, RSW, has worked as an instructor with Momenta since 2018. Suzanne completed her Bachelor of Social Work in 2020 and has been providing Activity Based Counseling with the clinical supervision of Lise Brown since 2021. Strength-Based and Trauma-Informed Suzanne works with her clients to improve emotional identification and regulation in children and adolescents through activity and reflection. These activities can include games, crafts, outdoor experiences, and conversation to build interpersonal skills and foster healing.
