Forest and Nature School programs are designed to connect children to nature. The curriculum is developed by observing children’s play. When themes emerge, we use inquiry-based learning to build knowledge or solutions. Children are encouraged to interact with nature with all their senses, develop socially, build curiosities about the world, find calm, be physically active, be stewards of the land, and be in nature in safe and age-appropriate ways.
Nature Club is an outdoor after-school program for participants aged 4–11. After gathering at Laura Secord School, the group walks to a park within the Wolseley community to play. With the guidance of Momenta’s staff, there is a focus on relationship-building (to self, to each other, and to outdoor spaces), risky play, and child-led discovery. Nature Club is a fun, meaningful way to increase physical activity, explore the community, and get outside!
Nature Club is currently full, and registration is closed.
