This workshop provides an in-depth look at anti-oppressive and strengths-based approaches to understanding and responding effectively to behaviours of concern in social settings. Participants will gain practical strategies grounded in promising practices.
Topics include placemaking, truth-telling, reconciliation reflection and action planning. Momenta will also share their two-eyed seeing model that brings together the Leave No Trace Principles and the Seven Grandfather Teachings called “Adventure for Good.”
This workshop will be outdoors and participants should expect a shared experience on the land, including activities and reflections about their past, present and future relationship with land. We ask participants to arrive with an open mind and curiosity to learn and grow.

Momenta’s Reconciliation reports are published in the annual Winnipeg Indigenous Accord which is accessible to the public from 2020 to present. We will continue to set goals with actions and lead by our responsibility for reconciliation.
